After completing 4 years of study at the
University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr.
Ertha continued her studies at the fully accredited Canadian
College of Naturopathic Medicine, earning the Doctor of
Naturopathic Medicine, which is reciprocal with the U.S. Doctor of
Naturopathic Medicine. While in Canada, she also completed a 3-year
postgraduate program in Osteopathic Manipulation, the Diplomate in
Osteopathy, Manipulative Theory, and Practice,
Canada. Prior to attending medical school, she earned an
Associate of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology
degree from the University of Maine, Orono, a Bachelor of Arts in
Biology at Connecticut College, and a Master of Science in Health
Science at Northeastern University, Boston. While a graduate
teaching fellow at Northeastern University, she was a lab
instructor in biology, genetics, and human
development/embryology. |

She served 8 years as Occupational Health
Specialist for the State of Maine Bureau of Labor Standards, 2
years as Research Associate, Harvard Medical School Dept. of
Pathology, and 2 years as Chief Technologist, Tufts University
Medical School Depts. of Gastroenterology and Pediatric
Endocrinology. Dr. Ertha has a special
interest in bioelectrical conduction throughout the body and,
particularly, drugless pain management. She is
board certified by the North American Board of
Naturopathic
Examiners. The North American Board of Naturopathic Examiners
administers the licensing exam for the six accredited North
American Naturopathic Medical Schools. Only graduates from these
schools are elegible to sit for the exam. The schools
